Right off the bat, this site caught my attention with the name “Grampa Said So.” I think it is safe to say that we can all remember someone answering our question of “why” with “because I said so.” It brings back those memories of whomever cared for you when you were young. This is a main aim of the website, to deliver resources to audiences of parents, grandparents, children’s guardians and senior citizens.

Many of you, our readers, are trying to find solutions to problems with your children or grandchildren or are looking for advice in helping your loved ones. This site provides quality articles, tips and advice centered around important themes such as child development, child welfare, parenting, pregnancy, senior citizen related issues, and an array of other great subjects.

One of my favorite examples of this is an article entitled “Children Can Save Money - Teach With These 6 Tips.” It contains some great tips and information to help children learn how to make good choices now that will help them in the future. Something I’m sure many of us wish we had learned in our youth. The site is full of these types of nuggets of knowledge.

The author of GrampaSaidSo.com is Paul Shipgood, also known as Grampa Starling. He is 58 years old and has been married to his wife, Sue, for over thirty years- an admirable feat in itself these days. They have three grown up children and two grandsons. He has had the experience of joy, tears and heartache that gives him the wisdom in producing this site.
